Where did the Name Wanderlust Enterprises come from?
The name Wanderlust Enterprises brings together two meaningful parts of our story: our love of discovery and the enduring example of hard work left by family.
Wanderlust: A Love of Discovery
Wanderlust means a love of travel. We enjoy exploring new places, meeting new people, tasting different foods, and experiencing the traditions and cultures that make each destination unique. To us, travel is more than simply going somewhere new—it is an opportunity to broaden our perspective and embrace adventure.
Enterprises: A Tribute to Grandpa
Enterprises is a tip of the hat Grandpa and his company, Tom Gaunt Enterprises. Over the course of five decades, he grew a one-man, handyman-style business into a major construction company with a substantial fleet of vehicles and equipment. His company completed a wide variety of projects, including large-scale demolition, and construction of buildings, bridges, and roads. His success was built through vision, determination, resourcefulness, and an exceptional work ethic. More importantly, the projects he completed became lasting reminders of what can be accomplished through years of committed, honest work.
What the Name Represents
Wanderlust Enterprises reflects who we are and what we hope to build: a spirit of adventure coupled with genuine curiosity, firmly grounded in hard work. It represents our desire to explore possibilities, form meaningful connections, approach every opportunity with purpose, and create something of lasting value.
